Pastor Mueller preaches and teaches “Christ and Him crucified” (I Corinthians 2:2) in the true Lutheran fashion by rightly dividing the Word on Law and Gospel. Together with his wife Carol of 22 years, they enjoy travel, cooking and serving others. He is a second careerist, having served in senior management with GE, NBC, ARCO, Wells Fargo and US Bank. He has a Master of Divinity, a JD and an MBA.

Senior Pastor
Pastor Otterness was ordained on June 19, 1951 at First Lutheran of Brookings, South Dakota. In May 1961, he accepted a call to start a new mission, Lutheran Church of the Risen Lord in Odessa. He served for 25 years and was named Pastor Emeritus on November 10, 1996. He has had a television program called Simple Secrets of the Kingdom since 1972.

CH (MAJ) John H.G. Rasmussen is an active duty Army chaplain serving at Fort Bragg, NC. He serves as chaplain of the 507th Corps Support Group, 1st COSCOM (Corps Support Command), XVIII Airborne Corps. He was ordained in 1978. He graduated from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa where he received his BA in Philosophy, Religion, and Music. He has graduated from both the Basic & Advanced Chaplain Officers course. Chaplain Rasmussen has served both civilian and military ministries. He is a decorated Military Officer whose medals include the Bronze Star.
