Thrivent Financial for Lutherans was officially formed on January 1, 2002 with the merger of Aid Association for Lutherans and Lutheran Brotherhood. The organizations were established in 1902 and 1917 respectively. The merger formed the largest fraternal benefit society in the United States. For more than 100 years, Thrivent Financial has been guided by its members’ shared Lutheran traditions and Christian values. Today, these same traditions and values form the foundation of an organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of those it serves.
Thrivent Financial for Lutherans today maintains a network of 1,364 local chapters, one of which is right here in Odessa, TX.
